Chamber of Commerce Holds Annual Holiday Open House and Auction-Now Crawford County

GALION-The Galion-Crestline Regional Chamber of Commerce has decided to hold the "Annual Holiday Open House and Auction" as a mixed event in 2021. The event was established in 2004 and is the largest source of non-contribution income for the Chamber of Commerce each year. This event enables the Chamber of Commerce to afford membership fees, continue to speak out for businesses, and seek economic development opportunities for the region.

The silent auction will become a virtual auction again in 2021. It will start at 5 pm on Wednesday, November 24 and will last until 7 pm on Thursday, December 2, 2021. The winner of the auction item will receive an email second at the end of the auction letting them know the item won from the auction. You can then pick up the items at the Chamber of Commerce office from 9 a.m. on December 3 (Friday).

"We hope you can start your holiday shopping with us," explains Executive Director Miranda Jones. "This is a very interesting community event for our members, and we are happy to provide our members with a great way to understand their business and support us, because we support them throughout the year."

On Thursday, December 2, the Chamber of Commerce will hold a face-to-face event at The Hub, Country Plaza, 311 North Seltzer Street, Crestline. The door opens at 5 pm, and the live auction starts on time at 7 pm. Due to rising costs, the cost of participating in face-to-face events this year is US$20, and COVID-19 safety precautions will be taken. Seats are limited, so please call the conference hall office to see if there are still seats available. This year's live events will also include a free photo booth and "Wine Pull" sponsored by Riverside Drive-Thru.

The table sponsors for the annual event are Avita Health System, Cleaning By Carrie, Guy's Insurance, Iberia Earthworm Construction, Signature HealthCare and Snyder Funeral Homes, Richardson-Davis Chapel.

The co-sponsors of this event are Cander Excavating, Carter Machine, Dostal & Kirk, Dzugan Real Estate Services, Firelands Federal Credit Union, First Federal Bank of Ohio, First Federal Community Bank, Huntington, Mizick Miller, Park National Bank and Walter &Corporate Financial Services.

Tickets for the Chamber of Commerce's annual raffle can also be purchased through the online auction site for $20, or from any Chamber of Commerce board member or ambassador. The prize draw for the 250 USD, 500 USD, 750 USD and 1000 USD prizes will be held in a live broadcast event on Thursday, December 2 at 7pm, and the winners will be posted on the Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page.

The Chamber of Commerce office at 138 Harding Way West in Galion will be open for viewing of auction items on Monday, November 29th from 4pm to 6pm and Tuesday, November 30th from 8am to 10am. This will be an opportunity to see the item in person and start bidding. No mask is required, but social distancing guidelines are strongly encouraged and followed.
